They charted three top ten albums and six top twenty singles in the UK. The group's a cappella cover version of ‘Caravan of Love’ was a UK Number 1 single in December 1986 and in the same year ‘Happy Hour’ reached Number 3. Many years later Stan is now a waterways enthusiast with a thing for canal boats, canal boat holidays, canal and river walks, and discovering the gorgeous English countryside. He has a YouTube channel entitled “Stan’s Happy Hour” which is well worth a visit. I stumbled across it and was delighted to see that Stan’s undoubted love of the canals had inspired him to write this song.
